Show, don’t tell!
We're all human, and we're all relatively wary of an all-too obvious sales pitch! If you’ve discovered a new resource that you're super excited about, ask the provider for a demonstration. Invite your colleagues and let them see for themselves the beneficial impacts this resource could have on your organisation.
Instigate open conversations
Unless you share thoughts with one-another, it's difficult for you to know why your colleagues are reserved about making change. And it's difficult for them to understand why you want to make change, too! Through clear channels of communication, you can help to iron out any queries or misunderstandings. You may find that you all have similar concerns, and/or that numerous colleagues are all becoming frustrated with the same thing.
Involve all staff in the process of change
Make the active decision to listen with the intent to understand your colleagues' thoughts. Then work with them to find solutions that best answers their problems. Demonstrate to colleagues that their best interests are at the core of what you’re trying to achieve through change.
