The Comfort Zone
When you’re in your comfort zone, activities are familiar and take a regular pattern. So, we feel comfortable and confident in our performance. But, if we stay too long in our comfort zone, it can be difficult to find motivation or desire to change.
The Stretch Zone
The stretch zone is the area to aim for. When we’re here, we’re actively pushing ourselves. In the stretch zone, the new or the unknown don't overwhelm us. Rather, they excite, energise, and motivate us! It’s the zone where we learn and develop. And it doesn’t take you completely out of your comfort zone, unlike…
The Panic Zone!
A place that no-one wants to find themselves in. Here, we’re in fight or flight mode, and we’re overwhelmed! If you ever find yourself in a professional panic zone, talk to a colleague. It’s near-impossible to make progress or positive change when we're actively panicked - we’re too uncomfortable and overwhelmed!

The more we stretch ourselves, the more comfortable we feel in
situations that we previously thought would overwhelm us.

The stretch zone gradually

confidence, competence, & conviction.
